Project Challenges

Our customer enjoyed the aesthetics of his previous wood fence around his yard. The prior fence was well past its useful life and was starting to break apart in numerous areas. Further, the customer’s yard was so large that it (and the fence) extended into a wooded area. The fence in the wooded area became very difficult to maintain due to rot from foliage and moisture caused by little direct sunlight.

Project Solutions

We suggested replacing his treated wood fence with a cedar fence. The cedar fence will have a significantly longer life than a treated wood fence and still allows the customer to enjoy the aesthetics of a wood fence. In addition, we suggested that the new fence not extend into the wooded area since it wasn’t an area of the yard that he used anyway, and the new fence wouldn’t be subject to the harsh area in the woods.
